What is your relationship with the founder?
He is my best friend and brother from another mother.

What first got you into music?
I've always been a member of the Music department in church right from childhood and I enjoyed watching the drummers in particular. I took it up from there and started devoting time and having passion for it.

Who inspired you to make music?
I grew up in a Christian home and there's this particular gospel musician mum loved and listened to, Bukonla Akinade(senwele jesu). I loved her music and it inspired my decision to do music.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
 Shola Allyson and Timi Dakolo.

If you could go open a show for any artiste, who would it be?
Adekunle Gold. Having to perform before having him up will be a very big thing for me.
And if i have to play the drums before bringing up a bigger art, then it has to be VictorKaro.

What would you be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music career?
If it isn't Music, then it'd be the Health sector. I'm a Pharmacologist by profession. Though I'm a big fan of the Autos business which I plan to venture into by God's Grace.

Which big artist have you shared a stage with?
I've been privileged to minister at quite a number of events. Some individually and others with the music band I belong to; AnderSax Music Ministry. So both as a group and individual, I've graced the same stage as Beejay Sax, Bidemi Olaoba, Odunayo Aboderin, Tayo Adeniyan, Pastor Kunle Ajayi of RCCG, etc... One big one I won't forget soon was in November 2018 when the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God came to Sagamu  and I was privileged to be among the four back ups he had while singing before his sermon. Same day I backed up for Pastor Kunle Ajayi. Like my friend would say, success is in the eyes of the recipient. That was a huge one for me (smiles)
Do you have any upcoming shows?
As a team, YES, but as a person, for now, No but something is cooking which will be unveiled in the long run. Watch out for that.

How do you feel the internet has impacted the music business?
The internet has really been a great catalyst to the music business just as it has had negative impact too.

What is your favorite song to perform?
Great nation Timi Dakolo. I love the song and hope to perform it with him someday. (Smiles).

Which famous musicians do you admire?
Shola Allyson, (smiles), I know you're wondering why I mentioned her again, i love her music soo much. I admire others like Bidemi Olaoba, Adekunle Gold, Timi Dakolo, etc but Aunty Shola is bae (laughs).

What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Once you try to satisfy everyone around you, you get to loose your respect and get used too.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
I need people to understand that music is art. It's such a beautiful art that requires deep thinking and creativity. The industry today permits ANYBODY to do music. This has to change.

What's next for you?
Further my studies and venture into the health sector, that is where i have my background. Do music and business. The autos like I said earlier. A vehicle merchant if you don't understand (smiles).

What message would you like to give to your fans?
Endeavor to make the best use of every opportunity that comes your way.

Before I forget what is your stage name?
VoiceSticks (people call me SHAMMEH)
